GETTING SETUP WITH TEAMSPEAK

Installing TeamSpeak

This is the easiest step. You need to go to http://www.goteamspeak.com/?page=downloads and download the TeamSpeak client and install it.

Download the Teamspeak Client and install it.

Download the Updated Executable and copy it to the Teamspeak directory over the old one.

Configuring TeamSpeak

Settings Menu -> Options
Make sure, on the Sound Devices tab Sound Driver is set to  "Wave". You'll want to do this as most PC games use DirectSound to access your sound hardware, and when you have two processes hammering DirectSound at once, it breaks up a lot, and you're unable to hear what people are saying.) .  Click OK

Settings Menu -> Sound Input/Output Settings
In the Voice Send Method frame you want to make sure it's in Push to Talk and NOT voice activation. Once you have done this click the "Set" button, and press the key you wish to use as your "talk" button. Make sure it's something you can get into the habit of reaching for during game play. In the Local Test pane is a method to test how you sound to other players, check this out and make sure your mic is working and you can hear yourself. Click the Close button.


Connecting to a Server

This is a pretty self-explanatory process. You simply go to Connection -> Connect. Right click the white area on the left and click Add Server. It will create an item with text highlighted "New Server". Name this whatever you want and hit Enter. Then immediately edit the options for this server on the right. The things you will need to edit are:

ü Server Address = 8.9.4.38:8768

ü Nickname = whatever you want

ü Click Anonymous

That is it, you are ready to use the server!
